This took some time and I almost went away tonight without finishing it. 25 additional xp per headshot. Nice. But not nice enough. And it is additional xp that I cannot use for anything because I have already reached all that XP can give a person.
I love my SWAT, but to get this done tonight I had to use DMR which I already maxed out instead of a Battle Rifle that I was working on finishing. Further evidence that goal of a Challenge will impede other things.

But I now have my second Monthly Challenge in my belt. Let us see what tomorrow brings.

4: Completed Mission 3 on Legendary Solo. Did not YET get the achievement in that level, did not carry a UNSC Weapon the whole time. Got my ass kicked LOTS. I will be so glad to be DONE with this one so I can enjoy it a few more times on Normal before 5 comes out.

Today this was brought about in 2 matches of Regicide and one of the Championship SWAT. Happy to complete this. Also saw improvement in Storm Rifle, Battle Rifle, and Light Rifle. Lots of XP in there that I no longer need.

Another idea bouncing in my head. On waypoint I found that I can look back through the score sheets of my battles. It went back much further than I cared to look. I was surprised to see this, but it is kewl. Before I had seen this it had been in my head that I wanted 343 to email me the results of each fight in a simple table. But now that I have this data on hand at the drop of a dime, I wonder: What am I going to do with it? Watching the playbacks sometimes helps, but really, how would analysis of this data help me improve? Don't know. Don't think it will. But it is nice to be able to look back. Thanks guys, for that one. Now if only they would give us better game choices.

Again, here is a challenge worth the XP. Only 5 Regicides. Step into one, maybe 2 games, kill some kings, make some points. It is a reward worthy of the effort. Thank you. Not MUCH of a challenge, but it is todays challenge and it is done.

I will see about the odd ball later. My bitching about how hard it is to get into an oddball match is well noted. I should not have to sift through other objectives that have their own playlist. If i want Oddball, I should be able to go into ODDBALL!

Destroyer of Grunts

The XP no longer matters, I have reached my limit of levels. Which I think is bullshit.
Again, this rewards me with 100 XP per kill of a GRUNT in a game where my deaths matter not. And yet a headshot against another human player in which my performance actually matters only nets me 25 xp per kill. What the blood hell is going on here, 343? Rewarding people MORE for playing spartan ops than for war games. NOT kewl.

I have gotten nearly 1300 page views to date, so if any of you are actually reading this, let me know, leave a comment. Maybe we should start bombarding 343 with posts and emails.

YAY! Post 300. That is a lot of texts that I have stopped sending people. You see, every time I would do something I thought was Kewl in Halo, I would have to text 10 or 12 people. And even my Halo friends were like "Dude, shut up."

Now, about this challenge. It seems 100 xp for each watcher killed this week is a lot more than what I get for head shots. Let me see. Yeah, this month I have to earn 1000 headshots for only 25000 xp. That is 25 per. What the hell, 343? This is not commensurate.

Mastery

4: I have just reached level 130. Mastery.
I had hoped to make this post 300 in this blog, but as I have not done much else in the last two days, nothing else to put in here. So be it.

The Pistolero

I seriously wonder where they come up with the numbers for this. Not 5 kills, 6. And not 5 games of Regicide for the other daily, but 6. And the XP is never commensurate.
None the less, one good round of SWAT and my pistolero is done and I am one stage closer to the next ranking of my Battle Rifle.
Have I thanked SWAT for being so good to me? Well, Thank You, SWAT.

Weapon Mastery

4: I am now complete with the DMR as well. Lots of fun on SWAT. I am also moving quite along on the Battle Rifle, on 5/7. The pistol will also be done in SWAT, but that goes back to my achievement hypothesis. In trying to master the pistol will I perform less that my best and cost not only myself but my teem victories? Probably. But that is what is going to happen. The grenades I will just have to muddle through in Regicide until I get that done.
Thankfully Forerunner SWAT has the grenades in it as well, they are fun to use in there.

New best Regicide

4: War Games - Regicide.

So here I am up early in the morning and just want to get in a few kills before breakfast.
I have been working very hard to max out kills with my assault rifle. I finish one round of Regicide and I am at 999 / 1000 kills for the Mastery stage. Man was I pissed.
So I start a new game and get a quick kill. My assault rifle is maxed and I have one of the five components for UNSC Loadout mastery. Kewl.
I stop in the middle of the game and totally re-vamp my loadout for Regicide. In that time I die twice. Don't really care. I get back in the game and after only a few kills with the Battle Rifle, I have promoted that as well.
Somewhere in here I completed part of a daily challenge, did not really look.
I use some grenade, I shoot some bullets, I use a suppressor. I don't really care who is King, I am just killing. But suddenly I have the crown for a moment. Then I die and loose it. A few minutes later I shoot the King in the head and the game ends abruptly. I win. Heh, who knew?

Spartan Ops Episode 10 Easter Egg

4: Spartan Ops Easter Egg.

I found the radio and activated the Easter Egg, but I heard nothing in my game. The trigger for this was to come across jet packs to help get into the Lich. 1) I already had a jetpack. 2) I did not find the stash of jetpacks. 3) I flew a wart hog into the Lich anyway. It was more fun.

But thanks to Achievement Hunter and Rooster Teeth (my favorite guys in the media) I did find it and I got to hear the egg. It was, as always, pretty funny.

Still wondering about church and elites. Oh well, guess I will just stay tormented.

My Spartan Ops are all completed Solo and Legendary. IF they ever fucking release more, we will see what happens.

Regicide is great for this. I got 21 kills that game and had the crown several times. So easy to get the pick up kills when everyone is trying to kill everyone. I thought for sure I had the other challenge for today as well, 5 multi kills in one game. Guess it was only 4, but they were abundant none the less.
Almost maxed out on Assault Rifle and DMR. One of my goals for Regicide and Rumble is to max out my kills with load out weapons. They are not all the greatest and will not afford me many victories, but it will only be me that suffers, not a team depending on me.

I got 19 in a game of Regicide that I took first place in. I was sure I got one more after the buzzer. So after a few more games of Regicide NOT doing so well, I went to the bloodiest place online. Grifball! 26 kills and 26 deaths. Lots of mayhem. I like Grifball. But not as much as my SWAT.

This was fun. Ran through Gargarin three more times to get enough Knights all in one place. Made for a fun morning and lots of good target practice.

All done with the Spartan Ops that they have given us so far. I am now looking for easter eggs in 9 and 10.
I enjoyed doing this. It is acceptable fun on Normal or Heroic and worth doing on Legendary. I'll still be going through and killing them and I will be trying to get more of it done online so that I can get the Co-Op completed.

Drop Bears!

For those of you who do not know, Drop Bears are a myth from Australia about extremely large Koalas that were rumored to hide in the treas, drop from above, and murder people to eat.
I find this fitting as I am known in other places as a Koala just as well as I am known as The Kat here. ;)

Now, let me tell you about this game in which I fulfilled this challenge.
My second match of Regicide today to warm up. The game started with just myself and one other from the previous game. He got his crown PDQ. More people came in. One was rather half-assed and was dead stick most of the time. He assassinated me when he first game in. So I took it upon myself to run him down and return the favor. But I realized a few moments later he was starting to dead stick. So when I found him again, I wasted no time. I wanted this challenge.
The next time I found him I was wedging myself into the corner he was standing in so I could get the assassination and someone stuck me right as I struck. Nice for him, show stopper and double kill. Bastard.
So on and on the round goes. Finally I am sprinting in to get an overshield and someone grabbed it just ahead of me. So I go for the melee and sure enough, there is my 3rd assassination. Through the shield I had just wanted. I love when that happens.
Here is the last funny bit. I took second place with a score of only 185. Bad ass King or really sloppy players, I do not know. But second place in Regicide is usually well into the 200s, no?

I did it! I finally got a monthly challenge. I killed a shit load of people and only got 8.333 xp for each one. But I did this and it got me to level 119.
My final kill for this was a Regicide. Feels appropriate.
